A Movement for Wholeness in the Capitol Neighborhood
love all ~ live spiritually ~ rejoice in hope ~ show hospitality
We are an open and affirming congregation, located near downtown Lincoln, across from the State Capitol.
You are welcome here, because all are welcome here. We welcome all God's children, though differing in race, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, nationality, ethnicity, marital status, physical or mental ability, political stance or theological perspective. We affirm the faith, baptism, and spiritual gifts of all Christians, celebrating that all people are part of God's good creation.
At our core is the shared belief in wholeness as individuals and a community of faith. We stand solidly as Disciples of Christ, where each person has a unique and valuable perspective. We challenge each other by sharing these understandings. First Christian Church is a place to grow spiritually, to ask questions, and seek answers together. If you have ever felt alone, come Find a Friend at First!
Disciples Identity Statement
We are Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the one body of Christ, we welcome all to the Lord's Table as God has welcomed us.
